The opportunity
Delaware North Gaming is hiring a General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Online Casino and Sports Betting platform. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of gaming services, driving business growth, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and leading a dynamic team to achieve both short-term and long-term goals. This is a senior leadership role requiring a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the online gaming industry, financial acumen, customer experience, and operational excellence.
Pay
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $168,700 – $239,100 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?
- Develop and execute business strategies to enhance profitability, market share and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with the executive team to define short and long-term objectives.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the online casino and sports betting products, ensuring smooth and efficient functionality across all aspects of the business.
- Lead, grow and manage a diverse team, including department heads across marketing, sportsbook, casino, payments, risk management, customer experience, product and identifying others as needed.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and accountability to ensure high levels of performance.
- Ensure that all gaming operations are in full compliance with relevant rules and regulations, as well as managing the risks associated with online gaming.
- Develop and manage the company’s budget, including forecasting revenue, managing costs, and tracking financial performance.
- Provide regular reports to the executive team regarding KPI’s, P&L and other financial metrics.
- Oversee the development and enhancement of user experience and customer satisfaction. Ensure that customer needs and expectations are met through optimized service delivery and engagement strategies.
- Work closely with the marketing team to implement effective acquisition and retention strategies. Promote brand visibility and growth through targeted campaigns and partnerships in the casino and sports betting space.
- Oversee existing and identify new third-party partners to provide products and unique offerings in the gaming space.
- Lead the company’s efforts to expand into new products, markets and jurisdictions. Work closely with the regulatory and legal teams to ensure successful market entry and compliance with regulations.
- Develop strategies to navigate market-specific challenges and opportunities, fostering relationships with regulators, partners and key stakeholders.
More about you
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management or related field.
- At least 8-10 years of experience in the online gaming or sports betting industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Strong knowledge of online casino and sports betting products, gaming laws, and regulatory requirements in multiple jurisdictions.
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale operations, including market expansion efforts.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management, forecasting, and P&L oversight.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with gaming technology and platforms, including online casino games, sports betting solutions, and payment processing systems.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical abilities and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
- Passion for the gaming and entertainment industry, with a customer first mentality.
